Povaleč Festival
The Povaleč Festival was organized by a group of friends in 2006 with the aim of introducing and connecting young artists and new art with the architectural and historical heritage of the baroque village of Valeč. Not a classical music festival, but rather a festival with workshops, lectures, exhibitions of modern art, classical music concerts, theatre, films, sports and dance. The tradition of the festival is also maintained by some of the newer residents of Valeč, bringing the local castle and Baroque gardens to life. Also in Valeč, there is initiative by Barbara Tichá, who prepares exhibitions, workshops and student landscape painting workshops at the castle. Today, the Festival Povaleč Association has over 50 members and runs the Klubovna cultural centre in Prague’s Dejvice.
