Another Wave of Creativity Hits the Ústí-nad-Labem Region

Summary: The regenerative potential of culture and the cultural and creative industries has been talked about quite a lot in the Czech Republic in recent years.
That is to say, the Ústí region, which is perceived by a part of the Czech population as a harsh wasteland, where the locals suffocate in coal dust and wake up every day to a dramatic haze of fog interspersed with industrial sounds from local power plants and chemical plants. However, it only took one regional election for the situation in the Ústí nad Labem Region to change dramatically. Apparently, for the better. When Jiří Řehák, who emerged from the underbelly of the local art scene, was put under the patronage of the regional culture as a deputy governor, quite significant changes began to take place.
Kreativní.uk was launched. The class of the creatives in the Ústí nad Labem region is also making its voice heard and wants to be a part of the transformation of the industrial Northwest. Based on data from the UK, the so-called multiplier effect is partly calculated in terms of jobs. According to a recent study, one job in the cultural sphere creates an average of 1.77 additional jobs in other sectors.
The tradition of the creative economy is strong in the North West. We have always had plenty of innovators and visionaries here.
