Rodiče za klima

Rodiče za klima Liberec is an association whose goals include lobbying with various politicians, mostly at the regional and governmental level, to truthfully inform people about the seriousness of the climate crisis and its probable future impacts and move them to do something about it. They are trying for Liberec and the whole region to become more responsible and follow the points set out by the Paris Accord and the regulations of the EU, independently from the rest of Czechia. The association managed to initiate the foundation of the Liberec-based work group Rada pro Klima, which organizes educational programs for schools and teachers, organizes the Climate Week, and various protest events (for example critiquing the creation of the new ski slope on Ještěd and the cutting down of the forest). They cooperate with other groups, like Čmelák or the Jizersko-Ještědský Horský Spolek
